Q: What is a CVREIA?
A:CVREIA is a mnemonic for Champlain Valley Real Estate Investors Association. We are an organization that supports those in the field of real estate; specifically in the Champlain Valley area of Vermont and New York. For more information please visit our About Us page.

Q: What does the CVREIA do
A: The area of real estate can be a very complex business. It is easy to get confused and make BIG mistakes. Many of us are seasoned investors or experienced professionals who don't mind sharing with those less experienced some of the challenges and pit falls that inevitably come up when dealing in real estate. We provide a forum for people of all levels to come together and help each other out.

Q: Do I need to be a real estate professional to join?
A: No. Anyone can join. Though our organization is designed for real estate investors and professionals.

Q: What if I don't live in the Champlain Valley area, can I still join?
A: Absolutely! We know many people who invest in property don't even live in the same state their property is located at. We also know organizations like ours are few and far between in Vermont so all are welcome.

Q: Does it cost anything for membership?
A: Yes, there is an annual dues of $100.

Q:What benefits do I get as a member?
A: First opportunity on deals, free posting to our classified ad (Deals) section, free admission to all meetings and cashflow game days, and access to our library of shared resources. In addition we are members of the National REIA Trade Association giving you access to all of their resources and discounts on products and services.

Q: Can I go to your meetings even if I am not a member?
A: Non-members may come to 1 meeting per year for free if you wish to attend additional meetings there will be a $20 charge.

Q: I have a partner or employees in my business, do I have to have a membership for my partner as well?
A: Membership dues covers your entire entity regardless of it's size however we ask that you choose no more then two representatives to attend each meeting.

Q: Are you affiliated with the National REIA?
A: Yes, we are a member in good standing.

Q: Are you a non-profit organization
A: Yes, though your $100 dues is not tax deductible as a charity. However it may be tax deductible as a business expense.
